Flmngr is a website component that can be installed and used in some CMS/framework to manage files.
The Flmngr offers a Free plan with no payment required and also provides various paid plans.
Until you require premium features you can use Flmngr for free. This tariff offers numerous features to manage files.
When you need premium features and priority support, several paid plans are available for you.
The main idea behind our tariffs is that everybody pays proportionally for their usage. Individuals and small companies should not pay the same price as big companies with hundreds of users or websites.
How many licenses do you need?
You need as many licenses as websites you have. Flmngr is licensed per the final website you publish on the web or intranet. If there is no such public website, it is licensed per app.
Each website/app license, by default, covers 5 users (old customers may have more users by default). Cloud storage is a separate option.
What is a website?
We only count final websites with content that you publish and give access to visitors, not your dashboard domain with the editor. Therefore, these domains will always require an individual licenses, even if they are controlled from a single dashboard in your CMS. For example, here you need two licenses when having:
A subdomain is also considered a domain (and a website) too:
When you have a CMS or website builder, you may have a single dashboard for hundreds of websites, but you will need one license for each final website, not just one for the dashboard). Usually, these websites are located on individual domains or subdomains like:
However, sometimes different websites are located on one domain/subdomain and are separated by some URL path parameter (prefix, suffix, argument, ets.):
All the examples mentioned above require individual licenses for each such website.
If we wish to be more formal, we can ask: what is the difference between websites and just internal pages?
Separate websites (even located on the same domain/subdomain) have these attributes (one or more):
- Different owners/teams or contact forms
- Different designs
- Weakly overlapping menu structures and URLs, weakly linked with each other
- Independent (isolated) file/image storages
Usually, it is obvious whether you have individual websites or not. If you have any doubts, please contact us to clarify this for your case.
There is also a list of exceptions when we do not charge for additional websites:
- A website with a dashboard (if located separately) - we count only published websites available to visitors
- One domain alias with a full mirror of the website (i.e., starting with 'www.')
- The protocol does not matter (http or https), this is considere one website
- Three developer websites are located inside your intranet and are not available to target visitors.
What is a user?
The word "user" actually refers to a seat: an employee using one browser on one device on one domain. If one employee uses two computers or a computer and a mobile device, they will be counted as two users. For the same reason, we do not recommend using incognito mode in your browser as each usage will be counted as a new device.
Therefore, you need to pay for as many users as the number of employees who may use Flmngr (taking into account the notice above). The Flmngr buyer should keep track of the number of employees for themselves. Our servers also check the limits and try to be as accommodating as possible to users, within reason. So, please ensure this information is correct to prevent an alarm in our system, which could lead to notifying or suspending an account.
On regular small websites/apps, you only need one Premium plan license with 5 users included. For bigger websites/apps, you may need to purchase more seats.
Common mistake: If your SaaS offers some service to your clients (for example, website builder), it is incorrect to count each your client as a user. Instead, you should purchase an additional website license with a minimum 5 users for each user. However, there is a limitation here: each website license includes only one storage, so you can't use dynamic directory changing regarding the current user (isolating users' storages) when you have just one license.
What is storage?
Local server or cloud storage is a location for the files you manage. Local storage refers to a directory on some server, while cloud storage refers to a directory inside an S3 bucket, BLOB container, etc.
So, if you have a number of users on one website that need separate storages, purchase as many additional cloud storages as you need. If you host files on your server and use a local server storage, you may need an additional website license, as far most of time, separated users mean that they will not manage the contents of the current website but create/manage something of their own. See below for bulk discounts in cases when you have too many such independent users.
If you need more than 10 websites, or 50 users, or 3 cloud storages, please contact us for a special price. This is especially useful for SaaS. Also, write to us if you need to use the Multiple users (storage per user) feature on one website/app.
The license does not allow: redistribution, copying of any files or resources from our CDN, decompiling, or any other actions that may alter Flmngr's behaviour or violate the intellectual rights of Flmngr developers or third parties.
